Riding the Wave Into 2025: Top 5 Highlights From Five9 SKO

As we return from an incredible week at Five9 SKO 2025 in San Diego, I can’t help but feel the momentum building. Our theme—Evolve—was more than just a tagline. It was a call to action. Just like the waves crashing on the shores outside our venue, we’re riding an unstoppable force of innovation, customer and partner obsession, and AI-powered transformation into the future. 
 
From powerful keynotes to deep-dive breakouts, a reimagined brand identity, and unforgettable moments with our customers and partners, SKO set the tone for a game-changing 2025. Here are my top five highlights from the week: 

1. A Visionary Kickoff: Catching the AI Wave 🌊 

The energy was electric as Mike Burkland, Andy Dignan, Jonathan Rosenberg, Ajay Awatramani, Matt Tuckness, Jake Butterbaugh, I, and our talented host Thomas John, took the main stage to lay out our vision and roadmap for 2025. AI isn’t just a trend—it’s redefining customer experience. We explored how Five9 is making AI more powerful, intuitive, and customer-centric, equipping our sellers and partners to ride this wave of transformation with the tools needed to succeed.

2. Customer and Partner Obsession: Stronger Together 🤝 

One of the most inspiring aspects of the week was celebrating the success stories of our customers and partners. From panel discussions to one-on-one conversations, we heard firsthand how Five9 is making an impact. And what better way to show our appreciation than the New Era of CX Awards ceremony and an unforgettable customer sunset cruise? Against a stunning Pacific Ocean backdrop, we connected, learned, and toasted to what’s ahead. 
 
We also spent an evening at the Partner Pavilion, which was a fantastic opportunity to engage with our incredible partner ecosystem. Learning about their innovative offerings and how we work together to make CX better was truly inspiring. Our partners play a critical role in delivering more value, more insights, and more impact to our customers, and it was amazing to see that collaboration in action.

3. Unveiling the New Five9 Brand Identity 🚀 

In alignment with our theme of 'Evolve,' we proudly unveiled our reimagined brand identity. The modernized logo and vibrant color palette symbolize our transformation and focus on AI-human collaboration in customer experience. This rebrand reflects our evolution and readiness to lead in the age of AI—delivering more innovation, more value, and more impact for our customers and partners. 

4. Diving Deep in Breakouts: Insights That Will Drive Growth 📈 

Beyond the big moments on stage, our breakout sessions surfaced critical strategies for our sellers, marketers, and partners. These sessions weren’t just informative—they were fuel for our next wave of innovation and success. The depth of discussion and real-world strategies shared will have a lasting impact as we take on 2025.  

5. Dancing into 2025: A Fun and Joyful Send Off 💃🕺🌊 

We know how to work hard, but we also know how to have fun. It was incredible to hit the stage, embrace the surf culture of San Diego, and literally dance our way into 2025 with a Surfin’ Safari sendoff. Our culture is one of joy, passion, and connection, and we always take the time to create joy and celebrate our wins—together. This moment wasn’t just about dancing. It was a reflection of the energy, camaraderie, and unstoppable spirit that define Five9.

More than anything, one of the greatest highlights of SKO was the opportunity to connect with the incredible team—sellers, partners, services, SCs, marketers, CSMs, TAMs, and so many more. The passion, teamwork, and shared commitment to The New CX are what make Five9 truly special. 

A huge thank you to the entire Five9 team for making this event possible! From the planning and the execution to content and delivery, it takes an incredible effort to bring this type of event to life, and the team’s dedication made it one to remember. 
 
As the AI wave accelerates, our focus on collaboration, execution, and delivering Joy to CX will be key to maintaining market leadership. Let’s take what we’ve learned, build on this momentum, and make 2025 a year of transformative growth.
