Five9 Celebrates CRN Women of the Channel Leaders: Congratulations Stacey Cole!

At Five9, we fully believe in the power of partnerships and the exponential scale we can achieve through the channel.  Both our domestic and international success with Channel partners has been phenomenal – via wise joint market development, continuous listening, learning, and best-in-class leadership.  

In parallel, Five9 strives to be a great workplace for women to work that empowers all voices to be heard. 

Recently, these two strategic initiatives were recognized in the announcement that seven Five9 women were recognized by CRN with a Women of the Channel Award (WOC). Today we are kicking off a new Five9 blog series to showcase our outstanding winners and share some key insights. 

We are launching with a leadership spotlight featuring Stacey Cole, Senior Director of Global Partner Marketing at Five9 who has received the CRN WOC award for both 2022 and 2023. 

What do you enjoy most about being the Senior Director of Global Partner Marketing at Five9?   

I enjoy leading a team of passionate marketing professionals I admire and respect and collaborating within Five9 to build strategies and programs to accelerate our success with our partners. An additional bonus is meeting all our global partners and building long-lasting relationships. I appreciate that Five9 is an exceptional company with a wonderful culture that values diversity, partners, and success. 

What is the key to success for your channel partners in 2023?  

The key to success for our channel partners in 2023 will be to strengthen internal solutions sales capabilities and launch targeted marketing to produce leads and close new business. Five9 kicked off 2023 with a Five9 Global Partner Virtual Summit in March to build alignment on Five9 business strategy, share product roadmap, and new partner program enhancements and resources. In April, we rolled out Five9 University for Partners with a broad range of learning resources, including self-paced e-learning, instructor-led training and sales certifications to ensure partners have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in selling and service in the cloud contact center market. To help partners launch marketing quickly, we added new ready-to-launch marketing campaigns and resources to the Five9 Global Partner Portal with materials in Spanish, German, Portuguese, and French. Additionally, we increased the frequency and content shared via Partner Amplify Monthly Webinar Series to help keep partners up to date. 

What is your superpower, and how has it helped you build your career?  

My superpower is optimistic endurance. I am always upbeat, positive, and a natural-born change agent. I attribute this superpower to my parents, athletic training, and surrounding myself with successful, goal-oriented people who aspire to achieve extraordinary results. Most days are long and require creative problem-solving and building positive momentum to keep critical projects moving forward. This superpower has helped me develop a solid record of accomplishment of success and strong, loyal relationships. 

What are you most looking forward to doing this summer?  

I am looking forward to the sun, surfing, and spending time with family and friends. I will also enjoy training and competing in a half-marathon with my daughter and hopefully an Xterra adventure race.    

What is your favorite souvenir you have collected while traveling?  

My favorite souvenir collected while traveling was the memory of a long run along the beach in Porto, Portugal, during the Five9 CX Summit EMEA in April. I was filled with joy and gratitude to be traveling internationally again and excited to meet so many partners I had only met online. It was an incredible event and a very memorable run that I will always cherish.
